Tallaght University Hospital: EPR Solution
Due to high healthcare demands, a crucial part of managing operations for the Hospital is data entry for visibility and traceability of patients and equipment. Peak Technologies provided a customized solution for TUH using a range of products from leading suppliers.
The Challenge Faced
In 2019 TUH published a five year strategy which outlined clear plans one of which was to put an emphasis on Digital Enabled Care, making it a main strand of their strategic development of hospital services. In their statement they mentioned that “Digital technology is key to meeting other strategic objectives such as improving access and delivering on highly integrated care”.
The Customer
Tallaght University Hospital (TUH) is one of the two main teaching hospitals of Trinity College Dublin – specialising in the training and professional development of staff in areas such as nursing, health & social care professionals, emergency medicine and surgery, amongst many others.
The Solution
Peak Technologies provided a customised solution for TUH using a range of products from leading suppliers such as Zebra Technologies. Peak Technologies rolled-out 96 Barcode Scanners, 59 Mobile Computers and 52 Printers across the Hospital and is still providing Professional Services when needed.
*Electronic Patient Records (EPR) is a method where medical records and notes are stored electronically, replacing paper-based systems – thus allowing data to be easily accessed in one place digitally.
