Peak Technologies is proud to announce the expansion of its long-standing partnership with Chippenham Cricket Club (CCC), marking a meaningful step in our ongoing commitment to supporting local communities and nurturing young talent.
On Wednesday 30th April, representatives from Peak Technologies joined local families, players, and dignitaries of CCC at the official launch of our enhanced sponsorship. The evening was a true celebration of community spirit, with young players from the U9s, U11s, and U13s teams proudly training in their brand-new kits, provided as part of our three-year commitment to the club.
Steve Silk, CEO of Gloucester Cricket Foundation, said: “We are so thankful for the support we have received to date from Peak Technologies. This support provided to the club, through its juniors, cannot be underestimated, and the immediate impact is there for all to see,”. he shared “To see 140+ young boys and girls now kitted out, feeling proud to play the sport, is incredible to witness—and all of a sudden, all coaches are taking team photos and everyone looks great, which is 100% down to the support of Peak Technologies, for which we are eternally grateful”.
A Long-Term Investment in Local Talent
Peak’s relationship with Chippenham Cricket Club goes back several years. From supporting individual rising stars within the club to helping fund essential infrastructure projects such as the recent refurbishment of the outdoor training nets, Peak Technologies has always believed in building strong community ties through meaningful support.
This renewed partnership takes that belief even further through a multi-faceted sponsorship package that includes supplying new kits for all four youth boys’ teams and all three youth girls’ teams, supporting club events and community engagement initiatives, and continuing to invest in the development of young players-both on and off the field.
“Seeing all the kids running around in their kits was an eye-opener around what ‘grassroots’ really looks like,” said Andy Flinn, Head of Depot Operations UK & I at Peak Technologies. “The joy, pride, and sense of togetherness was incredibly moving and reminded us why this kind of partnership matters so much”.
Celebrating Milestones Together
The April 30th event also saw the official unveiling of the newly refurbished training nets, made possible through joint contributions from Peak Technologies, the England and Wales Cricket Board, Chippenham Town Council, Community First Wiltshire, and other key supporters. The ceremony was led by the Mayor of Chippenham, who formally opened the new facilities.
With a lively BBQ, bar refreshments and great weather, the evening brought together players, families and club supporters in a heartwarming show of community pride.
