The lockers, running on a retail server setup from Peak Technologies, connect Blivakker’s in-store retail with its online shopping platform. They will be deployed across all physical stores in Norway and Finland.
Launched in November 2025, the lockers have already proved popular among Blivakker’s online customers.
“As a leading online retailer of beauty products, we see strong demand for convenient pickup options. So by offering in-store pickups, we not only add flexibility, we also draw more of our online customers into our physical stores. And our strategy has worked. After just a week and a half, our lockers were already at nearly full capacity,” said Espen Wetrhus, Retail Director from Brandsdal Group.
Asked why Brandsdal Group opted for lockers rather than a traditional setup, Espen Wetrhus said:
“First of all, it means that our staff can devote their time to performing their key task: providing excellent service to customers. Secondly, our shops simply do not have the layout and space for adding a separate room for parcel storage. It’s been great to see this solution get off to such a great start, and we’re now looking forward to rolling out lockers across the rest of our stores.”
The early results reflect a growing shift in how retailers use lockers to connect online and in-store shopping.
“At Peak Technologies, we believe that the last mile should be effortless. By deploying SwipBox lockers in-store, we’ve created a seamless bridge between digital convenience and physical engagement for Blivakker’s customers, strengthening their connection with the brand.” said René Schrama, Peak Technologies’ Chief Commercial Officer.
“We’re seeing growing interest in this type of solution. Lockers not only draw more customers into the shop, they also remove the hassle of queuing and reduce the risk of manual errors by eliminating the need for staff-handled parcel searches,” said SwipBox Commercial Development Director, Mark Yeoman. “The Blivakker lockers are the first of their kind for us, and we’re confident they won’t be the last.”
Apart from introducing the pickup in-store concept to the remainder of the physical stores, Brandsdal Group is also planning to use the lockers for click & collect, allowing online customers to pick up their purchase within hours.
