I hope that you, your family, friends, and work colleagues continue to be safe in these difficult times with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.
I wanted to update you with the latest printing supplies (thermal labels and ribbons) market information to help you plan for your operation’s printing and labeling processes. First, I’d like to assure you that Peak Technologies is open and operational – we have been designated an “Essential Business” which means our team is here to serve customers that also qualify as essential critical infrastructure businesses. Our primary goal is to keep our employees, partners and customers safe while we continue providing the critical products and services our customers need to run their daily operations.
COVID-19 has put a strain on the Supply Chain for Label Converting operations in North America. Key raw materials used in the production of thermal labels and ribbons are now experiencing longer lead times, from several days to several weeks, depending on materials. Additionally, order and production jobs are being prioritized to serve essential industries such as healthcare, food, and medical equipment while shipping lead times have increased as well.
Because of these delays, we are encouraging you to review your printing supplies needs with the anticipation of increasing lead times and we are recommending that you place orders early.
Peak Technologies has many inventory programs that can help reduce the strain on extended lead times including our make and hold or min-max programs. Or, if you have cost containment plans, we have a Priority Gold printhead replacement program that offers you free thermal printheads. Peak Technologies also has access to over 30 manufacturing facilities to help meet all of your labeling and printing supplies needs. I am happy to schedule a quick conversation if you would like to discuss some considerations for your labeling processes during this time.
We value your business partnership. Please let us know where we can help.
