Peak Technologies implemented a complete end-to-end warehouse management solution including wireless site surveys, a new wireless infrastructure, mobile computers, thermal printers, printing supplies and onsite repair services that now enable the customer to accurately track inventory creation, movement, storage and shipping in real-time.
Business Challenge
A leading manufacturer of plastic packaging solutions for healthcare customers needed a real-time warehouse and inventory solution to prevent lag time and typographical errors.
The customer needed to implement a warehouse management/inventory control system that supported mobile devices to capture user transactions and an automated receiving process.
The Solution
Peak Technologies collaborated with partner Kare Technologies to provide a real-time warehouse management solution that could be customized to accommodate integration to automated shrink wrap and conveyor systems and their proprietary AS/400 system.
Kare’s Visual Warehouse provided user-configurable options to meet many of the customer’s requirements out of the box. Kare augmented this functionality by introducing custom add-ons to allow for automated receiving and labeling of pallets as they are shrink-wrapped.

The Results
